Game lagging and freezing
Hi guys!
My game started to lag and freeze in the last 2 days, It lags when loading things, takes minutes to get me into the duel if I dont lose already, I have been playing on this pc for a year and this is the first time this happens, I have a Ryzen 7 3700x and a GTX 1060 with 16GB of RAM, I already tried to uninstall the game but didnt work, and performance is set to max. Changing resolution didnt help either, but however lowering the performance stopps the lag but who wants to lower the performance with a pc such as mine.
What do I do? anyone else having the same problem? could it be the last update?

Update graphic card drivers.
There's a setting in general settings called Power Usage that lets you change the game's performance in exchange for how much power it uses. The lower it is, the lower the framerate is, so my guess would be this got changed somehow. Try sliding it up a bit.

Maybe internet / battery issues?

I had the same issues last year. I fixed it with "Power Usage" settings

Lowering the power usage does actuallay redused the lag but why would I lower it when my pc is good?

wait! I ve tried everything but this actually work, I put my max framrate to 142 in Nvidia control panel and it works, because before that my fps would go from 1400 to 500 to 2000
now it's limited
thanks

You're welcome dude maybe you can mark my previous reply as the answer so it can help others easily.

Not all games remain smooth with unlimited FPS. Sometimes FPS just go really low without any good reason, so it's good to find out what the sweet spot is. For me 240 FPS works really well(playing at 8k) and remember higher FPS = more responsive game(lower frametimes). I'm only using a 60 Hz monitor but the difference between 60 FPS and 240 FPS is huge.

Had the same issue with the new update today. Setting a limit to 147 since i have a 144hz monitor fixed it. Konami forgot to turn v sync on, game freezes/chops without it.

lol, 60 hz player here, never had any lag in any game, i think you don't really understand what is the diffr. between 60 hz and 360 hz

Different games behave differently with different FPS. It can also depend on hardware but sometimes the FPS get bottlenecked by the game itself resulting in big sudden dips. Duel Links doesn't like extremely high FPS but 147 for example should indeed be quite smooth.

Higher FPS means lower frametimes which means much more responsive and 'snappy' play, even with only a 60 Hz monitor. Try it. You should feel the difference immediately. Much less delay(which some call lag).

I was getting like 400 and the animations would bug out and it was like the game didnt know what to do, limiting fps fixed it.

I have 2 monitors: 60 hz ips and 360 hz tn. I am really sorry. But Yu-gi-oh is not fps game, fps is not really matter here. Unless I don't know something :reexcited:

VA panel displays are particularly great for watching movies. Ok, I can understand what is the difference between IPS, TN, TF and VA panels, and which one is most suited for me, but 60 hz and 360 hz on Yu-gi-oh game is important?? C'mon.. this is nonsense
