2 Reasons:
1- Duel Links is not a Trading Card Game.
2- People would make multiple accounts and use the gems you get for being a new player to get UR and SR cards and them trade them to their main account to build decks for less grind and money.
Like if your account is x years old you are allowed to trade with this person but you have to have been friends for x amount of time and your account has to reach x amount of activity. I would be fine with all those hoops but now I'm just a little disappointed.
I did hear there was a chat feature though. If its not used for trading what is it for?
Thing is, Duel Links is not the same thing as the TCG, not even the ruling are the same, because Duel Links uses OCG ruling and putting restrictions to a trading system would benefit only old players and increase the advantage gap between old and new players so new players would leave.
The chat is just to talk, there some chats that are toxic and others that are funny, i think there is one for role playing.
