Drowning Mirror Force is arguably the most powerful Trap Card available in Duel Links. You can only activate it when an opponent’s monster declares a direct attack, but the payoff for activating it is huge. Drowning Mirror Force shuffles all Attack Position monsters on your opponent’s field into the Deck. Drowning Mirror Force can single-handedly clear an opponent’s field of monsters. More impressively, since it doesn’t destroy those monsters, monsters with effects that protect them from destruction, like Shiranui Sunsaga and Archfiend Zombie-Skull, are defenseless against it. Plus, monsters with effects that activate if they’re destroyed or if they’re sent to the Graveyard, like Crystron Ametrix or Gozuki, won’t activate their effects when they’re returned to the Deck by Drowning Mirror Force.

Drowning Mirror Force has been a popular tech choice for many players ever since it was first released in Duel Links. Its power was immediately recognized by top Duelists, tempting them to use it. Plus, since it’s a Normal Trap Card that is easy to activate, it fits into all sorts of different Decks. Unfortunately, Drowning Mirror Force can’t be Chained to most cards that threaten to destroy or banish it, like Assault Blackwing – Raikiri the Rain Shower or Cosmic Cyclone. That’s one of the big things that differentiates it from other high-impact Trap Cards like Karma Cut or Raigeki Break. For this reason, Drowning Mirror Force often works best in Decks that use lots of different Trap Cards. Against those Decks, opponents will struggle to try to take down all of the high-impact Trap Cards like Drowning Mirror Force before one of those Trap Cards can be activated to turn the tide of a Duel.

Drowning Mirror Force is a simple card with one of the most powerful effects in Duel Links. It’s not as reliable as some of the other popular Trap Cards, but it is capable of a much more devastating effect. Which Decks do you think are best able to utilize Drowning Mirror Force?
