Compared to crystrons, that also summon 7-9+ monsters in a turn, there are numerous opportunities to interrupt the combos. Blackwings just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ summon cards with no cost, near infinitely, only limited because eventually you clog the field with synchros. I've played games against blackwings where they had to summon 15 monsters in order to dodge everything I had.
Thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken. It's been 4 months of this. It's time to limit blackwings.
and on TOP OF THAT. Blackwings have synchros that summon synchros from the grave like..... ??? please. can we limit this already.
Second, you have 2 of the most used and versatile traps that can be used against a lot of decks and not just Blackwings, which are Canadia and Floodgate and you stop their combo 90% of the time unless they had another beater alongside Simoon like Bora, Zephyros or Kris. You also have Cosmic Cyclone to banish the Black Whirlwind, and I'm not talking about direct and very specific counters but about some of the most played cards in the game.
Third, Konami loves Blackwings that's why they didn't even touched them in the last banlist (they weren't the only long lasting tiered deck without a touch tho), and they will most likely nerf them in the next one, at least I hope so.
They also brick a lot, a lot of the time, and I know you were exaggerating but they do like 4 summons most of the times and counting Simoon, maybe 5 if they use Zephyros and 2 Synchro Summons, which most of the good synchro decks are able to do right now, like Infernity which can special summon Archfiend 3 times if they want, so stop being salty

Right now, they are still a powerful deck, but as others have said you just need to make the most of whatever backrow/disruption you have. Floodgate/canadia the tuners to stop the extra deck swarms, void trap hole the synchros when they do come out, karma cut the first normal summoned Blackwing so they can't special the others.... Hell even needle ceiling has come in handy in my ritual beast deck when facing Blackwings.
Yes, you will have matches where you don't get the disruption you need in your opening hand, or they've already set up their board before you can do anything, but sometimes you just have to take the loss and move on, it won't be like that every single match.
You flip an opponent monster face-down, it stops Synchro summons, searchs that requires the monster to be face-up to resolve like Black Whirlwind, monster effects if they are not "on summon" (which means it happens once you summon it, those can only be negated by a card like Fiendish Chain or Forbbiden Chalice) and of course an attack. You can also Special summon it as a monster when a trap card is activated the next turn you have it on your GY, it can come in handy for a Synchro or Tribute summon or just to stall, or even to attack with it
Good luck getting one though. It's in 1 out of 175 Valiant Souls packs. And you have to refresh the box before you can get another one. Hope you like HEROs, Hieratics, Karakuri and Geargias too...
Just buy one, is only 5 bucks and you get 10 packs of the new box, then you can go search for the third
