Its Golem Sentry on roids, it has the much needed ability to flip itself face down and not only that, on FLIP not on Flip Summon, you can return one monster your opponent controls to the hand (no targeting).
Guarding Statue does the same, the card comes from the Trader.
Sentry is still good due to it's level. I use 2 statue, 2 sentry and 3 frogs.
Yes but Guardian is on flip SUMMON not just on FLIP so if Guardian is flipped VIA battle and destroyed, no effect, where as Flip Flop Frogs effect WILL go off if not negated or denied of course by AG Reactor Dragon or Armades for example. =)
EDIT: oh wait I just realised you said you use Frog so you will know this, in any event I'll leave it here for OP to read.
For reference, my current Deck List:
Character: Yugi Muto/Mokuba
Skill: Heavy Starter/Restart
3x Sentury
3x Flip Flop Frog
3x Nemesis Warrior
2x Uma
2x Stygo
1x Speleo
1x Ultra
2x Final Battle
1x E-Con
1x Treacherous
1x Gamushara
Carrys me everywhere =)
I'm assuming you mean Spikeshield With Chain. The problem with those is that they are basically garnets in the hand if you draw them at an inconvenient time and can/will cause your starting hand to brick or even your whole deck as they have literally no uses unless you have monster on the field, same can be said for Cave Clash in all honesty.
As for deck match ups, yes AG decks are a natural counter to Subterrors thanks to A. How back row removal heavy AG decks are and B. AG Reactor Dragon and the fact that Double Cyclone can get rid of your Final Battle as part its summoning process
Also, yes, Magnet Warriors because of Berserkion and the destruction effects it possesses.
The biggest problems you will face against Crystrons are Vermillion Dragon (unless you have Uma and FB on the field at the same time to banish before effect) and Quariongandrax as on summon it can banish up to 3 of your cards on the field, this can be detrimental to Subterrors even with FB on thei field, your cards are still gonna be banished.
Yubel is another tight match up in certain circumstance f.e if you fill your board on the first turn Opponent summons yubel on theirs, your board is wiped during the End Phase if you don't take care of Terror Incarnate this is VERY HARD for Subterrors to recover from and even if you DO manage to get Terror Incarnate off the field, you still have Ultimate Nightmare to worry about.
Finally whoever's told you that you can handle any deck if you know how to use Subterrors lied to you, that is utter rubbish, yes Subterrors are strong but they also have a LOT of weaknesses, a simple Treacherous Trap Hole can cause you to lose a Duel and besides, this is Yu-Gi-Oh! You could lose to the most pathetic deck to ever exist should you get unlucky it's a card game, a game of luck.
Oh heck yeah, forgot about that one, good shout.
