What Happened to Ancient Gears?

So I haven't played in a loooooong time, and was thinking about getting back into Duel Links. Ancient Gears is my favorite archetype, but I noticed on a preliminary search that there aren't any AG decks on duellinksmeta, and their AG guide hasn't been updated in over half a year. Even then, the guide doesn't seem to mention any meta defining nerfs to the archetype. So... what happened to Ancient Gears to make it not even a tier-3 deck?

The Ancient Gear Deck never got any real nerfs its just that so many newer archetypes have been released since then which now completely outclass them.

Personally I would say they were fairly good but nothing they ever had was truly broken to the same extent that some other Archetypes were, which is why they never got any of their cards put on the ban list. There was always something that could serve as a decent counter to them.

They haven't really had any significant support since the structure deck came out so as Orochi says, just been naturally power-crept out of common play over time

I guess they could still be half-decent as a rogue deck, especially against decks that rely heavily on backrow.

I am using combo "Ancient gear + 3x Machina Fortress". Its really fun deck, you should try. Win Ratio ~ 40-50% Legend - KOG ranks, but It really doesn't matter' because its really fun deck. And it has 100% win ratio against 57 level AI
6000 ATK in almost every first turn, well this is really nice ^^

have a nice deck with 100% win ratio in auto duel (100% means never lost) is really nice

playing against AI or events is even more enjoyable than playing ranked or casual games because ranked / casual games have the same decks, its so boring, but ai has ~ 20 different decks, idk, its just fun - testing many interesting decks ;D i can reach kog in less than 30 games and what is the point to play after? no point

No they have the same decks just like Ranked, the event decks are the same as the last time they did the event, standard duelist decks only change with Stage level and swap to the set of that level, legendary duelist all have the same preset deck

AI is the exact same as Ranked only difference is you can auto duel, they use the same decks it's just not ranked decks

Still the same 20 decks over and over and over that you will see compared the different meta decks or different decks in general, some being similar meta design some not, meanwhile every AI deck is rocking the same exact cards in that 1 deck

No it's 500xp after 1 duel, you get 500+500+500 if you are doing x3 which uses up 3 duelist marks or whatever they are called

That is more than AI duels, gems is valuable so getting 5 gems from every win is guess what valuable compared to random drops from AI which more than likely won't be gems or will more likely be a chest of 1 gem, plus every time you rank up in Ranked you get some gems unless you are KoG in which case that doesn't apply to you

Only difference from ranked and AI is Ranked has more variety since metas come and go while AI decks stay no matter and AI has auto duel
