Don't reset the sound settings

I have the music muted and most of the sound effects set to minimal volume. The second I open the game I'm blasted with the music playing at full volume. I have to wait to "initialize link" and then wait for everything to load before I can go into the settings and only then does it realize that yes, I had my settings that way, immediately reverting itself back to the way I had them before. This did not used to be this way until the latest update. I've logged in multiple times since then and ran into this issue every time. Some of us don't like listening to the game music and don't want to have to worry about puncturing an eardrum from having it blasted into our ear-holes at full volume unexpectedly like that.


EDIT / TEMPORARY SOLUTION FOR PLAYERS: Well it's been 3 days and still nothing. For any of you who don't already know, a temporary solution until this gets fixed is to (while you have the game open) right click on your computer's volume (aka Speakers / Headphones) and select "Open Volume Mixer." From here you can change the volume of any program you're running. So you can mute "Yugioh Duel Links", or just make it significantly quieter than your normal programs. And unlike the current state of the game, this setting stays, so if you mute it, close out of the game, and reopen the game, it remains muted (or whatever volume you set it to).

I just noticed this too, logging into it a minute ago ...I occasionally have the game muted to play my own music, and ... well, its reset.

The bug has been noted in the "Issues" tab in the Notification page.

I have the same problem since the latest update. The game starts with sound EVERY TIME and only mutes itself again when I go into the ingame settings.
I wonder how experienced programmers managed to break the mute function in a normal weekly update... o.O
To be that unqualified requires skill on its own :D

You'd be surprised, much stranger things have been broken in games. And I can tell you from having to fix my own code that the issues don't always make any sense. Plus there's always the possibility that it all happened because somebody was scrolling through and accidentally added a space or indent somewhere. More realistically, this update gave us the option to go straight from the main hub to the change decks menu, and seems to have fixed the issue of customization not saving when changing decks directly from the character, so something there could be removing the saved audio settings

LMAO this just happened to me. I had my PC volume set to 100% and the second I open the game, it goes YU GI OOOOH DUEL LIIIINKS!!! It's 3 AM and it scared the shiz out of me.
Btw. yes, I was using headphones.

EDIT: I also noticed they added a new performance slider into the PC version (it only used to be in the mobile version) and the game feels a lot smoother now.

Well, I hadn't noticed anything different in the main menu.
At least they fixed the sound issue yesterday :)
