The deck itself is actually pretty lame. It's the same braindead "trick" all over and over again. Circle out, Navi out and quick into the grave, DM out, that's all there is to it. Sometimes you get to see a Dark Cavalry, but even that is pretty rare. The deck doesn't even have any fancy Combos. Yet still it's pretty strong and yes, the consistency is pretty good. That's what makes it so popular and that's why every second or third player uses it - at least it feels like half of all the people use it. And that's exactly what makes it so damn annoying.
Shiranui work pretty good against it, so do Traps that prevent the opponent from bringing his DM on the field. Anyway, I just do the same thing I did back then agains Six Sams: as soon as I see my opponent is playing a DM deck, I immediately rage quit the game. Not because it's useless or because the deck is unbeatable - both are wrong. But after seeing the same braindead and headless Combo like 1000 times I just don't feel like wasting a single second by looking at that crap another 1000 times. Just rage quit until you find an opponent using some other deck. Works pretty fine for me.
While I agree with most of what you're saying, Dark Magician is nowhere near as toxic as Six Samurai were at the peak of their power... you must be a mad man to think that xD that's almost like saying it's as annoying as Koa'ki was ^^
And this is why they should bring demotions back in ranked.
If you refuse to play, you shouldn't get higher ranked.
As for DM, techs that you can use are Artifact Lancea and Chaos Hunter, both prevent your opponent from banishing, thus removing all the power from Circle.
But even if you use them, you still need a deck that can put enough bodies on the board to get over the DM.
Casuals: "Discussion boards getting a bit too peaceful."
A single berry magician girl can counter Circle just saying.
Cause people are getting sick of it yeah. 2nd KC cup barely weeks after the last one, this deck still has yet to get hit. what a Joke
Not every deck is gonna function right splashing in those cards just to deal with one deck you'll see every so often. This is what I mean when I say this game is so laughably unbalanced.
I fail to see why people defend it as strongly as they do like literally anyone who critiques it is making some unholy personal attack against their god lol
But please keep on doing and telling us the same crap we've been hearing from you since 2019. It's very clear you have nothing better to do with your time.
They are good against: DM, CyDra, Shiranui, Lightsworn, every Invoked variant, and a bunch of other rogue decks.
If you can't find space for them, not my fault you don't know how to build a deck.
Koa'ki was before my time. I didn't play DL from the very beginning, I just started last year - at the time I started Six Sam was at the start of its rise and I can remember how everybody - including myself - was cursing that darn deck. ^^ Of course, the meta is constantly changing and so are the deck(s) that are hated the most. But DM is at the top of the most hated decks for quite some time now. And the only other deck I could think of, that was hated as much as DM was Six Sam.
But what piss me off, is the way how the cards are shuffled. I often get 3 of the same cards on first hand, this is really annoying. Konami must fix this algorithm, but they dont care after all
