jokes aside that is what mods are for?
there are 4 examples of why it would never work right...??
oh wait.....
Plus then yu gi oh has something that Hearthstone does not.
Amazing.
I am not talking about being able to send messages while dueling btw, i am talking about a general chat for the duel world.
I could see the posts now, nerf this, x card is op. it would just be the forums in real time.
Also a general chat would be pointless, it would just be filled with spammers and flamers.
I might be 6 months late on the topic, but I just want to add my thoughts as well.
I see that the general concern is about running into toxic players, and I understand that point.
However, I would like in game chats for when I'm playing with some friends of mines instead of moving back and forth between the game and another social base platform such as skype and discord.
Now you may say "If you're dueling with friend and they are on discord or whatever, then why not voice chat with them while dueling?". To that I answer by saying not everyone has a mic or want to voice chat. Some people just prefer to communicate by typing most of the time. However as stated earlier, the back and forth between the game and typing on discord may end up getting annoying or tiring, so maybe an in-game chat would be nice to help with that.
Now if we're all worried about running into toxic players who are immature and too competitive to tolerate, perhaps the option to disable the chat while dueling can suffice. So you don't have to talk with certain types of people if you don't want to while dueling, and can communicate with the types of people you do want to talk with.
So at least having it optional would be good for everyone, right?
