That's kind of the deal. The format is called Speed Duelling, meaning a smaller playmat and Deck, as well as no Main Phase 2, to speed things up. Kind amakes sense since it's a mobile title.

3 monster format not soo bad but you will get used or no.
go play another yugioh if you don't like 1tko meta. (if you can't counter)

it can be annoying at first but quite fun just give it a chance.

or maybe just a different card game altogether, speaking from experience there are a lot of 1tko decks in yugioh that are even worse than the ones in duel links

its not just about the 1 hit ko's that are effected by this its also alot of monsters become quite usless example a 3 star monster with effect to boost other 3 star monsters and so on which forces a certain meta upon its players and i dont like that at all besides the card straight flush becomes ridicilous op this way insteed of 5 cards the enemy needs to only have 3 cards and u can destroy all his spell / trap cards even faster
