Knowing you it wouldn't be surprising
Very well said, I take no issue at all when people take their time to make plays or respond to mine, the clock is there and both players have the right to use the time as they wish. The obvious exception is just deliberate stalling/slow play, which as eXz says can be reported.
And hey, at least in digital yu-gi-oh we don't have to wait for people to manually shuffle their decks every 2 minutes :)
Tbh I get it and am understanding if they have a bad wi-fi connection. But when people are deliberately spending 30 seconds to a minute per move I feel they are taking the ****. Even worse when they deliberately do it when they have a face down spell/trap card on the field and they take the same long time before deciding not to use it, every time you play something. I don't think they are necessary bad but just take the **** on purpose to either annoy you or take an unfair tactical advantage.
Or when they wait for 3 min clock to expire before obvious lose on their turn ( for example if they have to deal with lava golem in next turn and are under 1k lp ).
This is actually one of the very reasons KONAMI began making your card draw itself after a set period of time during the draw phase as some trollish players who would lose their next turn via Lava Golem (as you said) or Burning Land etc would not act on their draw phase and just wait for the clock to tick down and take the loss or hope their opponent surrenders.
Now, if you dont like waitening too much, I would reocmmend having some music on the background but keep the game sound, you can literally watch a youtube video as you wait for a play; but as soon as you hear a sound effect, return to the duel, check the log and your good to continue dueling.
