Except for the moments when a deck actually makes it good, then it becomes the type of card that makes you go "WHO THE HELL THOUGHT THIS CARD SHOULD BE PRINTED?"
So basically never in the game's history until Shiranui which you can just nerf the regular stuff and make this card just go back to meme status
If by game you mean "Duel Links", then yea, but this kinda proves that many new decks will have the potential to break the card.
If by game you mean "Yu-Gi-Oh", then oh furry, you're in for a surprise.
I meant DL, I already know it was nerfed in the TCG because you said the same exact thing for Quintet Grass and how that was a problem, realistically this is the first time where Grass has a significant impact, still a meme card though and you will never take away that
*GEM KNIGHTS WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION*
Gem Knights Grass was the same with every other Grass, 50% of being a success, the problem was it was an FTK due to the fact that they added a effect damage fusion to it not because it was Grass, and even then Gem Knights wasn't meta it was a meme that got popular
Gem Knights were tier 0 for a while after Gem Knight Fusion was released, Grass, made that happen.
And where are they now after Lapis Lazuli nerf, still tier 0?
You made a claim that Shiranui was the first deck to utilize Grass for significant advantage, I was simply pointing out (and making a joke of) the fact Gem Knights also shot to Tier 1 thanks to Grass, I am fully aware that Gem Knights are no longer Tier 0 but my point was that they WERE. Such is the nature of YGO eventually, Shiranui will share the same fate, like everything else.
Did they shoot to tier 0 because of Grass or because of Lapis Lazuli? Lapis Lazuli was the problem not Grass, all Grass did was make it faster to get a FTK same thing Block Dragon did made it faster to get special summons for a faster FTK, this is why they don't add effect monsters because in a game with 4000 LP it's really easy to get FTKs with effect monsters, how do you think so many Catapult FTKs exist. Grass wasn't the issue giving Gem Knights their broken effect damage fusion is that's why it got nerfed instead of Grass, give Grass to Gem Knights now how do they stand, give Grass to any other deck how do they stand, Shiranui on it's own was already the popular deck Grass didn't make it anymore meta it just makes the deck faster but if you nerf some of the stuff in that deck then Grass doesn't help it anymore now does it?
Grass is a meme card that's all it does, because it's only goal is to make a deck faster, but in a speed duel format decks are already supposed to be fast so just adding a card that is harder to get and mills your deck while not even guaranteeing a win isn't a good idea that's why Grass decks don't make it anywhere. Shiranui can stand on its own it already did
summon elder
summon cannahawk
ban wilda from deck with cannahawk
fusion
defusion and get cannahawk and wilda back
ban apelio from deck with cannahawk
fusion ulti-cannahawk
activate effect and select cannahawk and apellio
activate defusion right away and select winda and apelio, cannahawk goes in gy
search a tech card like ambush or return
ban cannahawk with apelio
fuse ulti-pettlephin
this all in turn 1 and at the end of it u have a 2800 def monster that cant be destroyed by effects and thats ready to defuse in case of targeting (eg, with circle). not bad.
this is a good start.
it wont show. whats your player name?
