Jinzo is in Duel Links!

Last week, Duelists were finally able to obtain Jinzo in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links by unlocking Espa Roba as a playable character. Jinzo is an iconic monster from both the animated Yu-Gi-Oh! television series and the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME, known for its ability to shut down all Trap Cards. As long as Jinzo is on the field, Trap Cards and their effects on the field cannot be activated, and all Trap effects on the field are negated. Jinzo is the ultimate monster against Trap-heavy Decks, and as expected, its presence in Duel Links is already affecting PvP Duels.

Jinzo is a Level 6 monster with 2400 ATK. Any Deck that can Tribute Summon it can use it. Some of the most powerful and Duel-changing cards that are popular in PvP Duels are Trap Cards, including Wall of Disruption, Widespread Ruin, Floodgate Trap Hole, and Treacherous Trap Hole. These Trap Cards are popular in lots of different types of Decks, and Jinzo will stop all of them.

Some Decks are hit much harder by Jinzo than others. Amazoness Decks, for example, run lots of Trap Cards and are one of the most vulnerable to Jinzo. Amazoness Decks were recently one of the most popular Decks in PvP, and they rely on Trap Cards like Amazoness Onslaught and Amazoness Willpower to help win Duels. Jinzo will shut these cards down, and its 2400 ATK will make it difficult to destroy without the use of Trap Cards. Popular PvP Decks that use few Trap Cards, like Decks Fur Hire, generally only play a couple of high-impact Trap Cards like Treacherous Trap Hole. Even though Jinzo isn’t quite as dominating against these Decks, shutting down just a couple of important Trap Cards with its effect can still be enough to swing a Duel and allow Jinzo to bring you the victory.

Jinzo is particularly powerful in Silent Magician Decks. The Silent Magician monsters have the strength to render an opponent’s Spell Cards powerless. Couple them with Jinzo, and an opponent’s Trap Cards will be shut down too! Jinzo is also easy to Tribute Summon with Yugi’s Silent Duelist Skill. Silent Duelist lets you return a card from your hand to your Deck to play a Silent Magician LV4 from your Deck without using your Normal Summon. You can then Tribute that Silent Magician LV4 to Summon Jinzo and shut down an opponent’s Trap Cards! Jinzo is also easy to splash into Decks that Special Summon monsters that can be used as Tribute for a Tribute Summon, or Decks using Soul Exchange. Even Decks Fur Hire can Tribute Summon Jinzo easily after activating Mayhem Fur Hire to Special Summon a monster from the Graveyard!

One copy of Jinzo comes in Espa Roba’s Starter Deck (obtainable only by unlocking Espa Roba as a playable character), and that’s the only copy of Jinzo that Duelists can obtain. Duelists who want to use more than 1 copy of Jinzo in their Deck can use Espa Roba’s Psychic Onslaught ability to randomly shuffle 1 or 2 extra Jinzos into the Deck at the start of a Duel.

Too difficult to use right now and only one deck uses large amounts of backrow. The absolute domination of Fur Hires which run exactly 1 Trap card make Jinzo basically dead (right now). Might see some use in the future.

sadly, he's right. jinzo is an awesome card AND is a machine, 2 pluses in my book but he came too late. i reckon if he came in with the release of wall of disruption, it wouldn't have been so bad. but ahh well. good job releasing him at least ^_^

why dis post is pinned? Jinzo isnt competetive. Becuz of the current meta they should post it early to make it good card.
