Build X-Sabers with Stardust Acceleration!
The new Stardust Acceleration Main BOX introduced Synchro Summoning to Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links. In addition, it introduced Synchro-based themes. One of those themes – X-Sabers – was an incredible Deck in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME many years ago. Lots of the X-Saber cards in Stardust Acceleration are the same cards that made X-Sabers strong in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME. Those cards make X-Sabers a powerful force in Duel Links. Check out some of the cards in Duel Links that an X-Saber Duelist has at his or her disposal!

1.) Saber Slash

The Spell Card Saber Slash is simple to use and can have a huge impact on a Duel. Saber Slash destroys a number of face-up cards on the field equal to the number of face-up Attack Position X-Saber monsters you control. Saber Slash can take down powerful face-up monsters like Vampire Grace and Amazoness Queen, as well as powerful face-up Spell & Trap Cards like Vampire Kingdom and Amazoness Onslaught. The more X-Sabers you have face-up on your field in Attack Position, the more cards you can destroy with Saber Slash.

2.) XX-Saber Boggart Knight

All XX-Saber monsters count as X-Saber monsters, and XX-Saber Boggart Knight is no exception. Boggart Knight is a Level 4 monster that has 1900 ATK and an effect that lets you Special Summon a Level 4 or lower X-Saber from your hand when it’s Normal Summoned. Using Boggart Knight’s effect to Special Summon an X-Saber monster in Attack Position will set you up to immediately destroy 2 face-up cards with Saber Slash. It’ll also set you up to perform a Synchro Summon. Boggart Knight can only be used as a Synchro Materials to Summon an X-Saber Synchro Monster, so use Boggart Knight to Summon one of the three X-Saber Synchro Monsters in Stardust Acceleration.

3.) XX-Saber Fulhelmknight

XX-Saber Fulhelmknight is one of the most versatile monsters in Duel Links. It’s a Level 3 Tuner monster with 1300 ATK and an effect that lets it negate the attack of an opponent’s monster. Plus, if Fulhelmknight destroys an opponent’s Defense Position monster by battle, you can target a Level 4 or lower X-Saber monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it. That’ll set you up for a Synchro Summon on your next turn.

4.) XX-Saber Darksoul

XX-Saber Darksoul may not seem intimidating at first since it’s a Level 3 monster with only 100 ATK and 100 DEF; but during the End Phase, if Darksoul was sent from your side of the field to the Graveyard during that turn, you can add any X-Saber monster from your Deck to your hand. Use Darksoul in a Synchro Summon, and then replace it by adding a new X-Saber monster from your Deck to your hand during your End Phase.

5.) XX-Saber Hyunlei

XX-Saber Hyunlei is a Level 6 Synchro Monster that can be Summoned by using any Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuner X-Saber monsters. Hyunlei has 2300 ATK and an incredible effect. When it’s Summoned, it can destroy up to 3 Spell or Trap Cards on the field! You can Summon Hyunlei in an X-Saber Deck by combining Darksoul and Fulhelmknight. Since Hyunlei can be Summoned using any type of Tuner, you can also Synchro Summon it by using a Level 2 Tuner like Galaxy Serpent and a Level 4 non-Tuner X-Saber like X-Saber Anu Piranha. Since both of those cards are Normal Monsters, they can each be Special Summoned from the Deck with Unexpected Dai for quick access to XX-Saber Hyunlei and its incredible effect!

These are just highlights of some of the cards at an X-Saber Duelist’s disposal. X-Sabers have lots of other awesome cards, including XX-Saber Gardestrike, At One With the Sword, X-Saber Wayne, and X-Saber Souza. You can also perform some creative Synchro Summons with your X-Saber Deck by using character Skills like Level Tuning and Level Duplication.

How do you think X-Sabers stack up against popular PvP Decks, and which Skills do you think work best with them?
