And replace the Crop Circles with Mysterious Triangle.
The field spell isn't really needed as well. Also consider one or 2 copies of powerful rebirth.
Alien gray to one copy is better, he's effect is pretty slow for the format
other world the a zone is useless.
Crop circles is pretty useless
I recommend to not use those tech and use these cards:
Brainwashing beam
Cosmic cyclone
and misteryous triangle.
I don't use aliens, but i have 1 deck, and is this:
Ananta x1
Overload x2
Warrior x3
Telepath x2
Mysterious triangle x2
A cell recompositions x3
Econ x2
Cosmic cyclon x2
Brainwashing beam x3
You can use chalice instead of econ if you can, i would but i don't have 2 chalice.
Replaced the Crop Circles with Mysterious Triangles.
Keeping Draining Shield and Half Counter though since they have saved my ass on numerous occasions, well at least until i get powerful rebirth
For instance what I mean is: You use Half Counter to boost over tower creatures generally (or boss monsters) thus if you're using that you shoulnd't really need Draining Shield.... And Powerful rebirth won't solve the issue of either of those 2 for what role those two cards serve within any deck.
Honestly, I agree with their advice, though I'd keep one and ditch the other. If it's boss monsters you're having a problem with or using it for keep Half, if not keep Drain.
I'm only saying that those two cards pulled me out of a lot of tight situations in PvP, which is what this deck is built for, and I was holding onto them until I got two copies of Powerful Rebirth which was suggested above.
I do see what you're getting at about having one or the other for consistency, so until I can get two copies of Powerful Rebirth, I'll drop the Draining Shield for another Half Counter

Mysterious Triangle is a pretty good card that often gives you a win. Remember that you also can destroy your own monster, so during an attack you attack with one of your monsters, play a recombination device on it, destroy it with a triangle, and attack with a summoned monster.
Brainwashing beam is pretty good at stealing an opponent's monster you can't possibly beat or to prevent an attack from that monster. Remember that the counter is removed during the end phase, so if you took control of the monster during the opponent's turn, you still will have it during your own turn.
Triangle is good, but I found that often I can't use it. I wouldn't run more than 2 of those.
The only change I would make here is to:
- Run only 1 Grey.
- Get rid of the Field Spell.
- Get rid of Draining Shield.
Instead:
- Add 2 Triangles.
- Add a Shocktrooper (handy for Crop OTK and when no counters are around)
That setup works well for me anyway.
Grey is not as bad as it looks like. When I start the game, I always set one to get an extra card and to put an early alien counter. But instead of a second Triangle, I would advise adding a second Beam. It's even harder to use than a Triangle, yes, but also much more often saves our ass than the Triangle.
