Duel loss through forced DC?
Is this a thing?
I was dueling some guy, and kicking his behind... when all of a sudden, he draws, and sits looking at the game for about a minute, then my game DC's and I lost the duel.

Is this a known issue? because it's lame A.F.

I lost duelist rank in PvP because of this cheater. I also have a screenshot to name and shame this stain.

It just happened again, only this time I got a screenshot of the game and his name... check the player card and the LP of me and him.
I had a DmoC and a Man with Wdjat on the field.

There are some known PVP hacks that can do this sort of thing yeah. Unfortunately, at this point, all you can do is report and move on. Thankfully this particular hack is one of those that is easy for Konami to detect when investigated. This is what some of the DQ'd World Qualifier players were detected doing.

One thing you can look out for is the connection indicator. Top right is your opponent's connection, Bottom left is your connection strength.

It could very well be hackers, but if you see it happening often enough and to connection indicator is in the lower left it could be an issue between you and the game servers rather then something your opponent did.

I've noticed before if i have a stream open in the background while dueling my connection indicator will go off from time to time, and in general the performance of duel links starts to chug if its a high quality video. Pausing the stream will then cause it to recover and work fine again. It could just be bad internet or PC on my part, or Unity3D being a resource hog.

Anyway, some thing to consider. could just be hackers though.

Well that sucks! I am not very good as it is, and I stumbled upon a deck build I enjoy and can play well, and I almost win and the DC comes. I check my internet status and it's always excellent, but at one point, it spiked for me, like I got a "no internet sign" on my task bar, but only literally for a few seconds, and I caught it because the game was stalling.

As quick as it went, I lost the duel when it returned, the second time though, I had full connection, and still DC'd.

I DID actually consider that I DC'd legitimately, but I have known this kind of thing to happen called a "lag switch", it's used in online console gaming, and people who fall victim of it, lose their mic connection so they cant communicate with the team, they lag around like crazy, and finally they lose game connection entirely.

I don't have a potato computer, and my net speed is high.... it just so happens, I DC when they are about to be stomped all over... like, they have an empty field, and I have 3 monsters on my front line, and the DC comes... it's too much of a coincdence.
