Tips on building a deck?

i started with seto kaiba and i want to know how to build a reasonable deck.
like how much trap cards or spell cards should i have.
how much strong and weak monsters
etc

well its more like which packs you wanna dig in.

beginners should pick.
servants of kings - for the backrow stuff ( wall of d, draing shield, ... )

blade of spirits - for 6 samurai / hazy arc type
( 6 sams is pretty nice with joey ( 1st or 2nd char you unlock ) n the mokuba bingo rewards )

or what ever you like, but the mini boxes on the right should be ya 1st focus, getting sth decent from mainboxes might burn u out when starting^^ pick 1-2 mini boxes instead.

the balnce of backrow n monsters depends on the arc type. usualy 10-11 monsters ( in a 20 card deck, dont go for 30 card decks ), rest support.
but there are also decks with less or even more monsters.

Yes, it all starts what kind of box you wanna dig in. When you start digging that should be your main focus till you excavate all or some of the necessary cards you believe you wanna have. After that guess, start digging in other boxes to create your 2ndary deck.

another good pack for kaiba is electric overload - for xyz dragon
everything is in this pack. even ice barrier monster is in this pack too.

btw you still need mirror wall from neo - impact , soul exchange from valkyrie' rage for break you opponent's game.

ps. If still got no clue, just buy structure deck Dragonic Force.

i recommend a Naturia deck. not even a single SR or UR monster in it and it's play style works well with Kaiba's Beatdown skill.

naturia is one trick pony, if you dont win turn 2 then you will have hard time, also it can brick hard. good deck for auto duels though and cheapest.

you're right about naturia being bricky but for a beginner i think naturia is good enough. because most of the early ranks are flooded with structure decks and a naturia with a decent build can beat them easily. by the time new players hit gold, they'd have already acquired some good cards for a more competitive deck. beyond gold naturia is utterly useless.
