The Chazz-A-Thon is Almost Over – Last Chance For VWXYZ!

The Duel Links Chazz-A-Thon ends tomorrow, which means you’re almost out of time to Duel against “Serious Chazz” and get his unique Duel rewards! “Serious Chazz” is giving away some curious cards, including Lancer Lindwurm and VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon. While Lancer Lindwurm will fit into some straightforward beatdown strategies due to its 1800 ATK and ability to inflict piercing damage, VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon is a lot trickier to use.

You can only Special Summon VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon from your Extra Deck by banishing VW-Tiger Catapult and XYZ-Dragon Cannon from your field. Although this seems nearly impossible to do in Duel Links, using the Spell Card Fusion Tag will allow you to change the name of a monster you control to match the name of a monster in your Extra Deck. Use 2 Fusion Tags to change the names of 2 of your monsters into VW-Tiger Catapult and XYZ-Dragon Cannon, and then Special Summon VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon. Once Summoned, VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon has 3000 ATK, can change the battle position of any monster it attacks, and can banish one of your opponent’s cards each turn.

A Duelist named “ShiningChaos” used this move against me in PvP, after Special Summoning 2 Mystical Shine Balls with The Agent of Creation – Venus. Ultimately, both Shine Balls (with names changed by Fusion Tag) combined into VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon, and its power was too much to overcome.
