I guess they're partly hoping you'll get frustrated and surrender to avoid the wait time, which is ridiculous. And only Burn players ever do this to me, it's beyond irritating. Do they not realize that those 3-4 minutes they stall like crybabies they could already be in another match?
The salt is real, and I think there needs to be a punishment for people who do this. Maybe a ranked suspension so these salty t.it suckers are locked out of ranked for a few days :) If you're gonna lose, take that L and move on.
If this is such a frequent phenomenon, it's just an alarming bell that developers responsible for the balance of the game do not do their job properly
IT'S COMPLETELY another thing if thte opponent DILIBERATELY stalls you out and want's a disconnection. That in my mind is so uncalled for and is down right DISPICABLE. No one should win this way, NO ONE. I just think it's super disrespectful and should be punishable by, IF they wait 3 minutes, they should be the ones that surrender by Force. Unfortanately, That will never be an admitable case. No one will come out and say, "Yeah, I did that." No, No one will. They'll find an excuse like, "I needed to use the bathroom" Or "I just made dinner, I have to eat."
It's just sad that this has to happen... It really is. And note, I'm NOT Blaming anyone at all. I'm sure everyone has their reasons, but it's just unfair if it is just for stalling for a disconnection win. It truely is.
Isn't that just bizarre though? I mean... It's a card game. WHAT PART OF THAT DESERVES TO BE SALTY!?
Answer: No part. Or is that just me? TO me it's all about having fun, enjoying what cards you have and just improve if you don't win. There is no perfect deck on earth, FACT. So just accept the match and be proud to duel with what you have. That's what I do anyway.
What deck do you play?
as the the clocks running out, the best solution i can think of is if there's a 30 second delay of inactivity, the timers speed should double i reckon or half their remaining time to quickly sum up the match. thats probs the only solution the devs can throw in without messing with the core essentials.
While there are trolls like you folks described, some players are "too new" to the game and need to read every single card, and some others get distracted.
I'd also welcome some sort of coaching option, meaning that you teach people how to play which card and so on.
I know, there's the quizzes, a wiki, Steam guides etc., but sometimes being taught by an actual human being just "feels" better.
Heck, I'd ask what's wrong and help my opponent to make the right move if that would help to keep the duel going. I'd even skip my turn if they have crappy cards.
I don't care about winning or losing, I just want to have fun and facepalm myself into oblivion when I play a spell or trap at the wrong moment and have to remove one of my own monsters from the field.
