Are the pack openings rigged?

10th day of playing Duel Links and the only deck I have and play at the moment is red-eyes. So I go to the shop to make it stronger by trying to pull Red-Eyes Slash dragon. However, he was literally the last SR/UR card in the box. Bad luck or did I trigger this so-called desire sensor?

I've opened 50 packs of the new visions of ice box, and only have like 3 SRs lol

The packs seem random, though I do suspect some are rigged. I saw the gold glow of a UR/SR on the pack of Ice recently five times in a row, and got a common rare that wasn't even glossy... Especially after I had just gotten a SR in the pack then three times in a row it happened and all rares. Fishy at best.

Probably rigged to make you pay more gems. It wouldnt surprise me at all these days. Opened 30 packs from the same box at once and didnt get any SR or UR cards.

I opened ultimate rising to get ultimate dragon, last 5 packs had it, I opened next gen for floodgate, it was litterally the last pack...

Just bad luck me thinks.

I think it's 100% rigged. And lotteries too.
Even if I get some rare cards out of the box, in the beginning it's always the worst rare cards of all possible

Usually in any box only 2 - 3 useful rare cards, the rest is trash just to fill the space

I had wanted Slash dragon myself and got the first one after buying only 3 packs (my 2nd copy took like 30 packs). When I wanted Psychic Borg, I got him in the very first pack I ever bought from Crimson Kingdom and was glossy to boot. Blues Eyes Ultimate (which I wanted for my farming decks back in the day), got both in like the first 5 packs of opening that box.

But I have had bouts of bad luck with both of my Sonic Birds and Knight of the Red Lotus(once a upon a time this card was great in a Vanilla Harpie deck) were always near the bottom of the box.

Then I had cards I wanted which the first copy was near the bottom (Sphere Kuriboh, Senju, King of the Swamp, Talaya Princess of Cherry Blossoms) but when I reset I got them within less than 30 packs.

I guess we all get screwed eventually.

To be clear on my original response in this topic: I only think it's rigged in the case you get multiple rares in a row. I've had some packs where I get multiple SR/UR in a row no problem. However, weird thing is recently I'll see the rainbow (gold/etc.) glow for a UR/SR on a pack after getting one from another pack and all of a sudden it's a common rare, not even a glossy version or a second rare in the pack. Could be just a glitch but it does seem odd.

I don't think it's rigged in the concept of UR/SR being placed at the bottom of a box, because I've had good RNG draws on many boxes.

As far as the glows go (as far as my knowledge goes):

Rainbow glow, face, bam= 100% chance you got a UR
Rainbow glow, face= A very high chance you got a UR but sometimes it is a SR
Rainbow glow= Very high chance of a SR, sometimes UR, I don't recall ever only getting a R
Gold glow, face, bam= From my experiences this is 100% a SR
Gold glow, face= Very high chance of a SR, sometimes its just a R
Gold glow= A chance of a SR but more often it is just a R
Green glow= A low chance for a SR, most likely just a R. I got my Talaya from a green glow, surprised me lol
The hieroglyphics= I have no clue what these are supposed to mean lol. I recall getting a Dark Paladin from a pack that had Hieroglyphics everywhere but I also got a face and a bam too.

Edit: To summarize, unless you get a face and a bam, you aren't guaranted you'll open a UR or SR or anything all that special. Except with the rainbow glow and no face or bam, I legit don't recall getting lower than a SR.

That's the thing, I was getting the glow and face, and I also got the Kuriboh doing the explosion prior to showing the pack. then Raibow glow, face. Yet I got a Rare and not even a glossy. Like way earlier I got packs where it did the rainbow glow and the face and then I got a glossy rare which was like meh but at least I can accept that. Now I'm getting the rainbow glow, and face multiple times in a row, and I sometimes see the double R pack (two rares in a pack) which is fine, just a common rare (not even glossy) which is very odd. or I get the UR/SR which I generally expect in that situation.

It could be a glitch, I wouldn't be suprised. It is Konami after all, but I don't know could be they changed the algorithm or maybe made the 100% guarantee 99% instead?

Edit: I should mention, it's only done this weird occurence in the new booster pack. I haven't had that weird occurence in any other one. Weird stuff.

Honestly I completely ignore the kuribohs lol. Too many times they have trolled me. But for rainbow glows, do you get the "BAM!" text too? It's the only thing that should make your chances of getting something good 100% or at least 99.9%. No "BAM!" means you are not guaranteed anything.

But I am surprised you got rainbow glow and face (with no text) but only a R but I do believe in this happening since lack of "Bam!" usually means there's a chance nothing special is in the pack but I guess I was lucky or I just don't recall a time I only got a R from rainbow glow+face.

It's rare but I have gotten it where I kept getting glow animations (usually just green or gold) several times in a row and only hit Rares. But if you get this every single time you try to open any packs then I'd agree something weird is happening. You shouldn't get glow animations every single time.

Though the reason I think it's something odd is the first time it happened in teh first box of the new pack I got a UR (with the whole flash, bang, eyes, etc.) and got The Tricky, then it did the same thing 4 more times in a row, with only a rare. Which is why I'm suspicious of the packs.

Okay, yeah, I agree with you on that being incredibly weird.The Rainbow+face+BAM! should not only be giving rares and if it suddenly can now then why Konami why?! I hope this is just a really weird glitch. But I am very sorry this is happening to you. Getting Rainbow glows+face+Bam! should be fun cause you know for sure you're finally getting a UR (and hopefully the UR you wanted)!

Don't worry about it too much. The good news is all I really need from it is one more Mage Power, so I'm not too upset. it's not as if I would have instantly guranteed a Mage Power had that given me the remaining UR/SR' from those specific boxes anyway. and once I have two WN Dragon I'm not going to worry about resetting for a third.
