If they never created the pendulum summoning mechanic, or putting them on top of the extra deck when they are destoryed, and only locked pendulum monsters to Normal Monsters only, it might of made for a great way to make Normal monsters viable once more.
I might stop playing Duel Links if they are added, and not use their current rulings, as I started playing Duel Links to avoid all the issues that the current TCG has.
I'd say 2 yrs at the most before arc v characters are introduced.
But there is hope. I heard pendulums can only special summon 1 monster now. Idk if this is completley true but thats my understanding of the post link summon rules.
The only question is whether or not they use Master Rule 4 or New Master Rule. I hope the ladder.
Because that just makes them a niche option rather than viable, since now in speed format they'll only be able to use one set spell or trap.
I can't say pendulums are horrible. The only real infamy they got was from, besides the easy revival, the "Pepe deck".
XYZ was tuners with a different being add two of a kind... Two 4 star monsters to summon a 4 star extra deck monster.
Clock of doom or pendulum adds another two spots on the field.... and were most old cards suddenly become useless. Pendulum cards have the 'summon swing' on their cards were if you put two on the 'pendulum' zone.... everything between the two ranks can be instantly summoned onto the field.
Get a 3 with a 8 swing and you can summon every 3-8 level monster onto the field in a single turn.
The simple aspect became - full deck with pendulm to summon the swarm.
The annoyed aspect became - old cards suddenly lost a lot of value even more so than pre-swing because why field a regular card when you can try to stuff the deck with more pendulm swings for the swarm summon?
The frustrating aspect was - game plans rapidly changed. Fusion era prepred for scyro ere which prepred for EXY... and then suddenly a mob erra appeared inbetween.
There were games were you or the opponent could win in just the second turn... and that's on a 8,000 lp counter. That's where a lot of the flack and rage come from in the most simple of terms.
2.) Like I said, I might leave if they do not use their current rulings, as in, the Pendelum zones are combined with the outer spell/trap zones (like they always should of been), etc.
