It has the same attack and defence as "Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Evening Twilight", easier to summon, and not only do you get to chose which of the two effect you want to use, they are arguably better.
They are as follows:
Though all in all, I'm happy to have gotten the card nonetheless, here's to hoping you guys release"Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" and the ritual monster "Black Luster Soldier - Super Soldier" in the near future as well.
Now Konami if you really want to make some money go get a LittleKuriboh voice pack for this game so we can get Grandpa to tell us all about his forbidden love with Black Lustre Soldier. I'd buy that right up.
"Sky Galloping Gaia the Dragon Knight"
[ 1 "Gaia The Fierce Knight" monster + 1 Dragon-Type monster ]
( this means gaia (earth) or swift gaia (dark) + any dragon )
fusion summon sky galloping
by tributing swift gaia ( dark ) and BEWD ( light ) ( or any other light attribut dragon )
spec summon BLS-EoET
run "birthright" to get BEWD on the board
run "ancient rules" to spec summon BEWD
Of course you would, the Envoy variant would be OP as hell in this game. It literally takes zero effort to summon, wrecks everything in battle or banishes anything that can oppose it. Drop it with Mirage Dragon (conveniently a LIGHT monster) and watch everyone scoop instantly.
It's not OP compared to a vast number of other cards that are already in the game. While yes, it's easier to summon out of the two, you still need 1 dark and 1 light monster in your graveyard, which can throw many decks out of balance.
As for the effects, I would say they are better in that they are more balanced. With evening twilight, if you choose to banish a monster on the field, you can still attack that same turn, whereas with envoy of the beginning, you not only banish the target face up, but you cannot attack with the card in the same turn. As for the secondary effect of attacking twice, there are several heavy hitters already in the game that have the same effect, some with better (attacking more than twice) as well as additional effects that make them even more ridiculous than this card could ever possibly be.
I'd be all for more BLS support like Evening Twilight Knight or even Super Soldier, but there's absolutely no way EotB can be released right now in Duel Links' current format without being completely game-breaking. There is a reason why Chaos Emperor Dragon is still banned today, and while EotB is still playable and isn't as relevant as it once was, it's semi-limited to a maximum of 2 copies per deck purely for the fact that it has one of the easiest summoning requirements for a monster of its kind (banish a LIGHT and DARK monster from your GY to SS from your hand), and it gets either a free banish per turn or two 3000ATK attacks. It and CED literally changed the game as a whole and set entirely new standards for card design when they first came out, having it here in Duel Links would also completely change this format as well, and likely not for the better.
Chaos Emperor Dragon without an errata would break Duel Links so hard its gonna crash the game. It cannot contain it lol
