How to beat/play around "Power of the Guardian" and more (no whine post)
Hello players,

In PvP I have difficulties with this Spellcard Power of the Guardians.
Can anyone give me advice to counter and/or beat that damned card?

Also I am a bit lost in those Magnet Warriors who are making a reappearance on the field or gets a attacking Magnet gets substituted by a defending magnet monster. (Im sitting there like ???? :-P)

Also I don't understand those Six Samurai's who keep destroying my cards.

Can someone give me some explaining on these manners because I am a bit lost so far, do remember I am playing this game only for 3 weeks so I am a beginner at this game.

Thanks in advance,

WildWest

Well, as long as a monster has Power of the Guardians, it's pretty much impossible to defeat it in battle. However, the card itself is destructible, no matter how many counters it has. Consider adding cards to your deck that destroy spell/trap cards.

Alternatively, you can banish the equipped monster, or return it to your opponents hand. Power of the Guardians only protects against destruction; if the monster is made to leave through other means, Power of the Guardians becomes unequipped and destroys itself.

I dunno about Six Samurais or Magnet Warriors though.

Which deck are u mostly using, and having trouble with it against mentioned cards?
Asking to know what to recommend you to change in it
the easiest thing to do to remove Power of the Guardian is by not destroying something, f.e. if you use Drowning Mirror Force the monster gets send back to the deck not destroyed so PotG becomes useless another really viable option is to flip the monster in question face down via Canadia or Floodgate f.e.

About Magnet Warriors: well just read their effect texts, some can send magnet warriors from the deck to the grave others can search to add to the hand others can remove themselfes from the field to summon another one, all of these are means to get a fast Berserkion out (their boss monster) and it's on you to read and learn which card does what.

About Six Sams: Enishi doesn't destroy it sends back to the hand but only if there are 2 or more Six Sam Monsters in the grave and 1 other face up six sam card with a different name on the field, Dual Wield does the same but requires at least one face up attack position Six Sam to work also it needs to send 2 cards, always. Shi En negates and destroys 1 Spell or Trap card per turn. Hand of the Six Samurai can tribute itself or another Six Sam card to destroy 1 card on your side of thie field and Rihan can banish 1 Six Sam monster from hand/field to banish 1 card on your side of the field. Irou destroys face down cards before the battle takes place.

Here is an easy way to get around PotG, just use Triamids, for whatever reason the opponent is foolish enough to not look at the field spell Triamid Kingolem and realize that attacking with their monster just get's it killed. Every time I do this they just go ahead and attack even though the card specifically says cards and effects can't be activated during the damage step, yet they just go ahead and do it

And yes I have had no opponent not suicide their monster thinking they can just use PotG has a safety net

You need a lot more practice if you want to win against the top tier decks. As for POTG, cards like Cosmic Cyclone, BM-4 Blast Spider, etc. are cards with effects that can destroy/remove it.

Not if you face a Slash Dragon.

Thanks for all the support,

I am currently using a red-eyes deck (sorry) for grinding and to get some cards that I can use for a other deck.

For now I like a burn deck, and I am also interested in a Water-deck-ish with Tsunami.
playing with Rex Raptor/Raptor Rex (dinosaur-ish deck) I am also interested in, in the future.

no need for that sorry, play what you like and trust me everyone who's above Legend doesn't care about Red Eyes anyways, if their deck still has no outs to them at this point they're better off giving up anyways :D

If you're having fun with the deck, then that's all that matters.

An advice that may help you in the future: building a deck is like making a cake. You can change some ingredients in the recipe, but as long as you know why you change what you change and how to adjust the recipe for your new ingredients, you're going to have a sweet cake.

Now I'm hungry, Anubis, out.

Not the best plan these days with Armades having such a low base attack.
