Pretty much this. Although I notice that in some sets they share, cards also have different rarities.

In "Legendary Duelists", we (TCG) got treated with a common Red-Eyes B. Dragon.

OCG gets a freaking GHOST RARE version. Man I would have opened backs just for that.

Be even madder that in the OCG Ash Blossom is a Super and a Secret, making it much easier to get a playset of it.


Konami actually pays attention to the OCG and updates the ban list much more frequently.
OCG get newer cards sooner, because obvious.

TCG is slow with updates and sometimes we NEVER get certain cards.
Take the Dark Artist, a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ monster with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ effect. The card was released in 2014 in the booster pack Legacy of Alliance.
In the OCG it was released in booster 3......way back in 1999.

Dude I'm still waiting my boy Fiend Kraken (because Krakens rule). I got so tired waiting, I just had someone make an orica of it. Until the day they get around to (if ever), that will do for me lol
