ancient gear deck is immune to everything lol...

i cannot get out of platinum cause everybody is using this anoying meta deck who counters traps and mosnters effects -.-

any tips on how to counter this deck?

Oh my god I have A.G deck it's inferior in today's meta
well. My phoenix and GB decks can wreck them with ease
You gotta know how to play your backrow and how to lockdown their ace card

A.G. isn't immune to anything. While their anti-trap effect is annoying, you can play around it. And A.G. Beast is ridiculously easy to get rid of.

If you find that you get locked down by their effects too much, have a good look at your deck and include some backrow that doesn't rely on the Battle Phase to work (good example being E-Con).

So basically, don't whine and try to adapt.

Is there somewhere us noobs can ask for assistance without getting shat on by salty old vets? I too am having trouble with AG, Pheonix, etc - And the usual git gud advice from Steam isn't really helping. (Surprise!) That's great that the current "Meta deck" does so much better than these decks, but clearly some of us don't have this mystical meta deck and are trying to get by with what we've got.

I use Gladiator Beasts and AG is a tough fight that my deck usually loses.

(This is what I meant, us newer players don't have a big selection. Honestly it seems we're supposed to float about in platinum until we finally do. I've been pouring gems into the gladiator box still need one laquari and one impen attack before I can start rolling for the other traps/spells)

I've got the 3 econ, I don't think I have the windstorm card either. :( Wish there was an easy way to share what I do have, I have so many traps and spells but rarely the ones the deck builder recommends. In fact most of these that I do have I rarely/never see in play, I think I got the shaft on that one so far. Hoping to get some of those wall cards and such some day. xD

That's why I said A.G is rarely seen in higher tier because as soon as you have a solid backrow, A.G is done for
If you say depends on startinghand well all decks also depend on starting hand. Most of the time A.G's strategy to swarm the field and lockdown opponent's backrow, but we have GB and SS for alternative, it's much more versatile anyway.
Most A.G deck I've seen is a variant with CA or even GB, they use middle tech mech to lower your guard and bait your spell removal to the castle

if you have despell in your deck and can get it off the start to remove gear castle ( I think thats the cards name) from the field you should have a easier time.

A couple of other cards that might work are Enemy Controller and Windstorm of Etaqua. They can be played before Battle Phase, and can prevent a freshly-summoned Antique Gear monster from attacking.

Gladbeast gets wrecked by Electro which any good AG deck runs 3 of.
