f2p Black Luster Soldier Deck: even possible?

I'm mostly playing this game as side activity to kill time when doing somethign else, so i neither can do an endless grind nor plan to spend money on it.
But having quite some luck with opening the Chaos Compliance packs, getting an BLS quite early on. So i have basically not spend any gems on ti rigth now, but i already got two copies of Envoy of Beggining from the card trader, same goes for the two Card Trader exclusive spells.

I do not really care for PvP viability, i just want to now if spendign more gems on this is any smart, i really want to let the nostalgia life up with some BLS action.

Look at the budget version. Since sacred soldier is available through merchant and the UR tickets you can have easily three of them

...having read throught that site didn't really enlightened me, pretty much just what i had planned.

Anyway, BLS deck withotu Black Luster Soldie feels wrong. I might find my own way.

Don't waste your time and gems on a dead weak deck unless you wanna have fun "memes" and then regreting it later.

Any deck can be made without spending money but it will take time unless your luck with getting the cards you want from packs is just AMAZING lol. Chaotic Compliance is a Mainbox with 200 packs and, if your 2nd copy of BLS is at the bottom your second go around, that's 10,000 gems gone. Not saying its guaranteed to be at the bottom (you could get it in the very first pack you open after resetting the box) but does that worst case scenario sound like something you can handle for the sake of having your dream deck?

Not sure how new you are (so I don't know how many characters you have available to level up) but leveling a single character from level 1 to level 39 nets you 2,290 gems. You'd need to get 5 characters up to level 39 from level 10 to buy out a mainbox. Or get about 8 characters up to level 30 from level 10. But you do get gems from Staging up, watching the street replay once a day, events, etc so you might not need to level up that many characters.

I know, its a very pricey build but I was just wondering if this is more in line with your vision or not.

Woo, that was not directly what i've been looking for, but it became what i've been looking for (especially as i'm only lacking on card now).

And how far i am? I've got by now 78h in the game, am at stage 41 in DM and 10 in GX, and already having a "viable" PvP deck. So, i think i surely can afford letting my gems flow into Chaotic Compliance then, until the next new box arrives, amirite?

Sounds like you know what you're doing since you've already got a viable PVP deck made. When it comes to making "for fun" decks as F2P, especially ones that require main box URs that aren't staples, it will never be smart to invest in them. That's why everyone here is warning you against it. But at the end of the day, you're the one playing on your account. Do what will make it fun for you to play Duel links. Just...just make sure to not have any regrets down the road if you suddenly decide you want to play this game competitively but you're low on gems cause you spent too much on "for fun" decks. This game does release new boxes once a month.

I have spent my fair share of gems on casual decks but I have no intention of ever being competitive (although I do make some meta decks that I find look fun to play). 200+ days in and still happy with my "dumb" decisions...even if Bonz is pretty much the only character I can level up for gems now cause I pretty much have everyone else maxed lol.

Well, i never wanted to play DL competetively in the frist place. I rather spend all my time and effort (and finances) in my RL Yugioh collection and decks, and am just playing DL to kill time, try out some decks i would never play irl (Silent Magician. So fun.)
And since i'm only two (and a bugged) achievements away, i thought i can spend the rest of my time doing silly things.

And apparently, i'm two cards away from that deck in the video. I should really stop procrastinating to grind a third ECON :/
