maybe its being used incorrectly. sadly i got no idea how it works.

I'm not even sure that it is usable in this game.
First you target one of your monsters, then you reveal a Fusion monster from your extra deck, then the targeted monster's name becomes the same as the Revealed monster's BUT ONLY IF you use that monster for a fusion summon.
With an example:
You target your Elemental Hero Clayman and reveal Elemental Hero Flame Wingman, then if you want to summon Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman you can treat your Clayman as a Flame Wingman for the fusion summon.

i did that . 2 times still didn't work

i think fusion tag is just completely busted. or is too fiddly for any normal fusion. i even tried it with tried it with some other monsters with different requirements. including cyber blader, and a few others.

No... You are misunderstanding it.
If you use it on clayman, and reveal flame wingman, your clayman's name becomes Flame Wingman. And you can't use Flame Wingman to summon Flame Wingman. You can only use it to summon a monster that has Flame Wingman as one of it's materials. That's why I mentioned Shining Flare Wingman in my example, because one of it's materials is Flame Wingman.

okay let me explain
Do you know "Dark flare knight" fusion monster?
it requires 1 dark magician + 1 flame swordsman (this monster also a fusion monster)

now with fusion tag, you can select one monster you control as a "flame swordsman" to fusion summon Dark flare knight

First he targets his Heliosphere Dragon, and reveals Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Then he uses Polymerization and uses Heliosphere Dragon (now called Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon) and King of the Swamp to summon Dragon Master Knight. He can do this because one of Dragon Master Knight's materials is Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

it is. that's why it's an N rarity card. It's gimmicky and cant be used casually. You gotta build a deck just to use that card properly

oh. i would have no idea actually how to build around it. but i will experiment wiht it later.
