Random white marker

I regularly get a small v-shaped marker on the screen, which seems to be pointing to something. I expected it to show hidden items, switches etc.
It seems to be pointing to random things I can't interact with.

It depends on the area you're in, are you in the auto repair shop ?

if it is white, that's the cover indicator. Press space bar to enter cover and you'll "stick" to the object tighter than just when crouched.

I personally found them annoying and unnecessary so I turned it off in one of the options areas. You can still enter cover just as easily without that little "v" jumping around everywhere all the time.

Thanks, was driving me crazy as I was trying everything to find some potentially hidden loot.

hahaha, i know right, dude. i thought it was some objective marker.. I was like okay they objective is down stairs... wait what.. there is no down stairs. what the fujk is going on.,.. am i going crazy...
