Unable to equip my pistol or any inventory item
For whatever reason neither the middle muse button nor the number keys nor the f keys let me change weapons.

You need to assign them to a number in the weapon wheel. Click your mousewheel, hover over a weapon and press 1-10. Then you can scroll through them or press the numbers.

Check you keybindings in the settings menu. See if the inventory key got unbound.

Other than that, sounds like you'll have to contact support to fix a bug :(

I can get into my inventory I just can't assign items to the different keys for waht ever reason
