help: .How to enter 2nd safe house?

Sllight spoilers ahead....

i cant figure out how to get into the second safe house after the npc guy gives me the gasmask. it has a shining box next to the door. i figued i'd have to use a fuse with it. but i cant use it, theres no "push e" prompt or anything. is it bugged? do i have to kill all the monsters first?

Use an electric bolt on the shiny box.

You will occasionally come across these throughout the game, just fire a shock bolt on the elecrtic boxes

ah cool. thanks for the response. it worked. now im just wondering, how would i ever figure that out? was that in the tutorial somehow?

There should have been a tutorial screen that popped up. For me, it was in the first portion of the Marrow that you enter. Strange that it didnt show up for you.

Shock bolts are unlocked immediately after picking up the Warden Crossbow. They can be crafted or found

Theres
A, a tutorial once you reach the gate and
B, a shock bolt right next to the box

I mean, it's possible that the tutorial is only in the Marrow, and he went to this safehouse before exploring there

that part was actually too hard. it should be easier ;) i figued it was just bugged because in modern games it usually just says "press e". i was about to do a file integrity check.
but thanks to you guys i figured it out.
