how to beat the ghost lady?

So I came across the ghost lady the first time when I touched the book in a room.
weapons did not work. wonder what it takes to beat her down?
btw I got a bit scared when she creeps towards me in a haste . lol

i don't think you can fight her one on one, you can only avoid her by using stealth.

yeah, that's what I do, perhaps there is a way to confront her in the later chapters?
I just want to get rid of her once and for all, her voice is so annoying.

There's no way to "kill" her. You encounter her several times before she officially goes away.

The next time you'll encounter her is in the streets of Union.

You're pretty much sneaking past her. Kind of redundant to shoot her, since she's one of the few enemies in the game who kills you just by touching you (albeit a really cool death in the vein of the Ring). But...it's not that bad. These levels are pretty short and fairly easy to do.
