Akumu now in Evil Within 2 if you link your Bethesda.net account!
See title. Also 3 new cheats, infinite stamina, super strength (1 hit kills enemies) and invincibility.

There was a thread asking what the new 47 mb patch did but for some reason it was deleted. Figured I'd give a heads up.

(Sorry for bad English)
Does AKUMU walkthrough enables NG+ for Classic?
Are cheats available without beating the game at least once?
Doesn't those new setings profanates the whole idea behind difficulty levels? I'd expected them to behave like Aim assist, which you can't enable when playing beyond normal difficulty.

Does anyone know if the perk Reflexes works on Akumu mode? Or it's a waste of gel?

anyone know if you get anything for completing the game on akumu?

I'm in Chapter 10 atm. I will post after completing the game, though I doubt you get anything for this.

The game literally tells you after activating the patch that any skill that makes you avoid a hit or death will NOT work on Akumu. So unless there is a glitch and the skill actually does work I'd take the game's advice and not buy Reflexes.

I remember that but then again the game never tells you what kind of perks it means exactly. There are other skills which fall into this category like that bottle escape skill or some health-tree skills which don't let you die if you get mortal wounds. I thnk those don't work on Akumu, but maybe Reflexes do. Although it would be too good if they work.

Try saving your game, purchasing the bottle skill and then go out and see if it works. If it doesn't reload and continue, if it does... profit!

I'm betting it wont based on what the game said but if one of these skills is an exception it would be very good to know as they'd be literal life savers and well worth purchasing.

I'm pretty sure the one with the bottle won't work, but as for reflexes perk - who knows, they might have left it.
Anyway is anyone else beating or beat Akumu? I think it's a lot easier and less intense than Classic mode.

Just did some testing, but not a ton:
-The skill to use a stimpak right before you otherwise would of died does not work
-I only have the 20% version unlocked, so can't say for sure, but seeming like the dodge skill doesn't trigger.
-I'd say the bottle trick doesn't likely work, but it seems really rare for them to actually go for the grab in akuma. They mostly swipe. Only seen one grab attempt, and it didn't end up connecting due to unrelated things that were also happening, so not a real test.

That's quite interesting. Though I'm not surprised stimpak doesn't work - that's the first perk I'd cut if I were making Akumu. The bottle is unlikely to work either. Still wounder about those reflexes, if anyone could confirm or deny it would be nice. However I've already got 20% upgrade - there is not so many options to spend your gel on since 2 skill trees (health and recovery) are now completely useless. I'm at the end of Chapter 12 now. Only affraid of the final boss since ♥♥♥♥♥ has wide swipes which are hard to dodge if memory serves and also a lot of small enemies which are deadly now. Gonna try flamer or fully upgraded smoke bolt on those ones.

Yeah, on the whole it's lacking the tension that classic mode carried from fear of losing a ton of progress. With checkpoints in, you can sort of just spam attempts until you get it right.

That said, there are specific moments later on I'm pretty worried about, just because they weren't designed around 1 hit kill. Final boss definitely comes to mind. Also worried about dealing with fire enemies, as they tend to introduce secondary risks of damage that can be hard to avoid.

Lava guys go down easy after a headshoot with harpoon bolt or you can get lucky and freeze 2-3 of them with one bolt and then quickly shoot each with pistol before they melt. Some of them I can still sneak kill though gotta be careful with their ability to burn. But their speed is annoying - they can literally overtake you when they try to ram you.

Ok, to everyone concerned - reflexes do work. I definetly saw Seb dodgesome lava monster's swing. So, turned out it's an invaluable perk for Akumu.

That's good to hear, thank you.
