What happened to the characters in this game?
Seriously, what happened to the appearance of Sebastian? He looked badass in 1, and his voice actor was better as well. Same goes for Kidman and the Administrator.

What do you mean? Sebastian, Kidman, the Administrator are all in the second game, it's just that their appearances and voices have changed. This feels like a much cheaper game compared to the first one.

It's kind of a big deal for me when the voices and appearances change in another installment, because it feels like they're completely different characters. I've played like 6 hours of the game and I'm enjoying it, I like the semi open world aspect as well.

My guess is that Bethesda was saving some money on the voice acting department, since some of the va of the first game is from quite well know actors, like Anson Mount (from Hell on Wheels tv series) as Sebastian. I prefer the va of the first game too, but i liked the second so much that the va change didnt bother me much. If there is a third game (hopefully they are already making it), maybe they put the original va back, but i think they will stick to the actors from the second one.

I am currently replaying the first game since I never finished it and the changes aren't really that significant.
And, to me, the voice actors and acting in general seem better in the second one.

What threw me off a bit was the obvious Canadian accent that Seb's new voice actor has, and IMO lackluster voice actress for Tatiana. Otherwise, I really liked the game.

Meh i can care less about voice actors the game i noticed has a great story and like he said love the open world aspect. They brought in this. Bethseda has always been awesome making open world games.

I just finished the game in 19 hours and 30 minutes. I did every single activity, went through all the areas, searched everywhere and found almost everything the game has to offer.

I liked it quite a lot, I'm hoping for a 3rd installment in the franchise. The terrible ports are a serious problem though, definitely made me enjoy the games less. Also, small little nitpicks like not being able to properly walk and not being able to manually withdraw and holster your weapons is also a minus, for me. This was in TEW1.

I don't have that issue i am still able to manually withdraw and holster my weapons in the second one. But yeah i Really hope there is a 3rd as well and i kinda hoping they go more into the open world aspect. They experimented with open world for the second one. So hoping the third is even more in that direction. because that is what The devs are famous for. Like Fallout 4 and the elder scrolls made by same devs as this game.

I don't think I explained that correctly, Sebastian automatically puts away the weapon after a while, you can't manually put it away. In TEW1 you had to manually put it away or he would have his weapon out.

You did?
I just finished the first one for the first time and if this feature is a thing I NEVER used it...and why would anyone, really?

Imagine this scenario: you're going in an abandoned house, it's dark and you hear something, I would want to walk through the house not jog or sprint through it. It breaks immersion. I also want to withdraw my gun manually, and when the house has been cleared, I want to put my gun away manually as well. Isn't it normal that when you feel there's danger that you go around with your weapon in your hand? I don't want to withdraw my gun every 5 seconds after Sebastian puts it away automatically. It just makes you more in control of your character.

I don't know if you've ever played The Witcher 3, but if you have then you'd know that the main character always automatically withdraws and puts away his sword after entering and ending combat, I installed a mod for this that prevented that.

This is a nitpick really, and it doesn't bother me that much, just wish that it was present in this game like it was in the first.

Ahh i see your point then. But still it don't bother me much. And i am Glad that Bethesdea made a Open World Pschological horror game. I am hoping in the third they go even more into that aspect because they have always been famous for there open world games. But the first one though not open world was still awesome as hell. If there is even a third game. Though sad part is by the time the third comes out i may have to upgrade my current pc. Had a talk with a pc gaming expert gave my specs and he said that my computer. May last till 2020 or 2021 before i have to upgrade though it was a Brief Rundown. Not entriely sure i forgot what the word for that is.

Yes it most certainly feels like a low budget sequel to part 1, with recast characters and a new director who doesn't understand subtlety or the genre of part 1
