I'm surprised I can even run the game at 60 fps with my current build.
what? a 1050 is nothing like a 740m so that makes zero sense. there is no way that laptop came with a 1050 as the 1050 did not even come out until they stopped making the 4200u.
you can forget about ANY modern gaming with that laptop. your cpu is only 2 cores/ 4 threads and max 2 core turbo is a pathetic 2.3 ghz. and a 740m is complete garbage and not even remotely capable of playing demanding modern games smoothly.
it cant even play the original The Evil Within as it only gets 25 fps on lowest settings at 1024x768. https://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-740M.89900.0.html
and this game is even more demanding than the first.
Your answer makes no sense to me as well. You say I can't run modern gaming but like I said, I run The Evil Within smoothly ( at least 50 fps is smooth to me ) The only other games I have on this computer ( since I bought it like a week ago... ) is Mass Effect Andromeda and it runs at 60 fps with everything on medium. Same with Jurassic Park Evolution, I didn't look at the graphics, but the game is pretty beautiful and runs well.
I guess I'm very bad at giving specs since you said it makes no sense... I used a program called Speccy to look it up but I may have given the wrong info. I guess I'll have to download the demo to really see v v
go right to the top left of Steam and click on help and then click on system information and see what it shows there for your cpu, ram and gpu.
Yes it's a laptop. But it's supposed to be a gaming laptop and like I said it's recent. I mean I didn't buy a 1500 euros laptop as it's not in my budget but still I expected to be able to play games on it...
So since I have no idea what I'm doing anymore, I copy/pasted most of the info so I'm sure this time it is the correct answer (?)

and you do have a 1050 so yes you can run this game. I would go mix of mostly medium at 1080p and see how it goes. do not use any overlays in the game like afterburner or the game will hitch quite a bit.
Well the specs on my original post were from Speccy... I have no idea how this program was able to get the wrong specs.
I've started downlaoding the demo anyway so I'll see. I've read this game has memory leaks issues so that way I'll be able to tell if I'm one of the unlucky one or not.
Thanks for taking the time to help me, it's greatly appreciated. Eased my mind quit a bit.
and is your 1050 a 4gb model? 4gb 1050 cards seem fairly common in laptops.
just use gpuz to check. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/
And yes I've checked and the card has 4 gb of memory. Don't know if that's good or bad thou.
I'm glad to hear that, thanks. Now I just hope I won't suffer this memory leak thing as it seems to happen to random people and is unfixable. Do you know if when you download the game, if you had downloaded the demo before, it uses those files? It probably doesn't but my internet connection is so low that it bothers me a little to first download the demo. For reference, it takes me 23 hours to download the 25go demo ( living in a shi.tty village ) I guess I'll copy paste the files from the demo in the game's folder and hope it detects it.
Also, search for device manager on your computer. That way you can see what your hardware is yourself.
