Is the game really that short ?

I am a big fan of the first Evil Within. One of the main reason was the general length of the game (especially considering it was a linear one) and the diversity of levels and situations. The game simply wasn't boring at all.

I just started this one, and I'm pretty scared when I see all the completion jauges. I am in chapter 3, I didn't even really started the story yet (!) and still, I already upgraded a weapon to 75%, I already have half the weapons, I already upgraded sebastian a lot ... Even if you look at the number of keys and files collected, it looks like I've done a pretty large part of the game.

Is that really that short ? I'm just starting to enjoy this. I'm scared the open world idea was designed to replace a real diversity like the first one. Am I right to be worried ?

It took me 15 hours to complete the game. so about on par with the original.
Maybe a bit longer on higher difficulities and how you play.

I love the way people post just to brag how great they are lol. This game is too easy lol. The worst is when you only get 59.1 FPS. Damn that hurts. I got 59.3 on TEW1. This ia an outrage!

I take my time, lie in wait for ghoulies, search for goodies, and the game doesn't seem too short to me at all. Anyone who finishes in 11 hours let alone less time has something other than enjoyment of the game in mind, IMHO.

im 22 hours in and still havent beaten it, i have to take my time because of the difficulty i selected, with horror games i always tend to select the hardest difficulty to increase the scare factor. im also a loot ♥♥♥♥♥ and a collectibles ♥♥♥♥♥. so im searching for all the lockers keys and files as well.

I got 21 hours out of my playthrough. So, no, the game isn't short... unless you're trying to rush through it.

Took me 18 hours to finish, didn't 100% it, will be doing a new game + run, so itll give me about 40hours which is nice.

Chapter 3 is the beginning, and play on nightmare.

It took me 19.5 hours, but I took my time. However, I didn't find all the memories, slides, keys, etc, etc. I enjoyed every minute of it. I can't say the same for EW1. I played it a bit back in the day and hated it from the start. Im playing it again now and it's okay. I'm not having as much fun and everything seems a bit boring. I also can't adjust to the controls. I keep trying to play like they are in EW2 which I feel are better.

Took me 25 hours on Xbox One. I was advancing and having a relatively easy time until chapter 5. From there I had very little resources and had to scavenge wherever I could, and it's kinda hard because areas are visited by stronger enemies. I killed the last boss with the last bullet.
