Skip Intro Tutorial

TEW 2 has unskippable intro videos, which is probably the least thing you worry about because this game also runs like crap for most of us, but anyway, here is how you remove intro so you could get into game faster

1. Download any blank .bk2 file (just google it, I get mine from the same tutorial for Dishonored 2)
2. Rename it to tango_logo.bk2
3. Go to your Steam\steamapps\common\The Evil Within 2\base\bink and replace file with a same name (it's about 33,4 mb size) with blank one
4. Profit

Grabbed my blank bk2 file from PCgamingwiki for Dishonored 2 which is just a flash of the Arkane logo

Forgot I did that

Loaded Evil Within and thought "Huh I didnt know Arkane devd evil within" before realising im stupid.

Did you also try to rename or delete the intro files first? Is the game going to crash then? Cause it is usually just skipping to the menu in most games then.

Why the heck is it actually still a standard to force players to watch intro movies again and again and again? Dear games-industry, this is so annyoing ....

You can backup original intro file if you want, no crashes for me

Yeah the game goes straight to a black screen without the file there at all

And the publishers are real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it too, creating more and more ways to make these things unskippable. They waste their time fully dedicating to wasting OUR time. They must have a WHOLE TEAM of some of the most asocial people dedicated to these things: "Think you can just press Escape? A-uh, got cha. Think you can rename the files? Got you again! Hey why don't we make them use blank files, bwahaha? We'll make them spend as much time as possible doing as much stupid nonsense as possible so eventually they'll give up!"

Haha, yeah, pretty much this. How wouldn't you come up with ideas like that, how these unskippable intro sequences are created!

The funny part is, actually I kinda like intro sequences. Sometimes they are creatively made and I never skip those while watching a movie or playing a game for the first time. But hell, games are just different media, I just can't enjoy watching these intro sequences again and again, especially if I just come to play a few minutes or after I am playing the game already since some time. So why do developers feel the need to bother people with it? Why would you want to annoy people with your brand's name?? Makes no sense, if you ask me.
