What does MO mean?

In the city hall, Sebastian sees a victim floating in the air and says "That's his MO." What does MO mean here?

My basic understanding is the MO is what a killer normally does specifically a serial killer I think the MO is the way he kills them/leaves their to identify he was the one who killed them.

I think it stands for "Method of Operations" or somthing similar to that. Basically what the other guy said, it basically means its something that that specific killer would do.

It means why a killer commits a series of crimes, though often mistaken as to how they commit their crimes.
