They kinda made sebastion into an idiot in this 2nd game. Nearly everyone who played the first game and understood the story has pieced everything together before the 2nd game came out. So Sebastion should have been able to figure everything out as well.
Instead hes practically lost his mind at the start of the game. The entire Anima story in the 2nd game is basically showing how much of an idiot sebastion is. The person who he was in the 1st game would never have gotten this low.
It's practically an entire new character this time around, and a very stupidly written one as well.
It's not just sebastion either. All the characters in this game are written by some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Saddest part for me though was kidman. They also made kidman into an idiot as well which is rather sad. She was good in the first game since you could never tell what side she was on. Even with the DLC. Here though, everything mysterious about her is completely gone.
Got it, no point in arguing with you.
The characters in TEW2 dnt do idiotic decisions though. They just have dialogue written by an actual idiot. Either that or they translated everything from Japanese to English very badly.
The first one barely had any so I welcome the change, especially for seb.
Bonus points to writer for using every possible conversation cliche like
"And one more thing/ dramatic pause/ good luck"
edit :
Just had to add this one, great sebastian's one liner
"im gonna hunt him down like the dog he is' - i just have no words xd
Not only absurd considering he's self aware that he's in a simulation, but he'd also been through an extremely similar experience in the first evil within and found out how STEM works.
So at the start of the game when he's walking around saying things like "What the hell" and "What the..." like he's all confused it makes no sense!
He's seen many scary zombies before!! He shouldn't be acting like it's something new.
And it was better for it. Nobody wants too much of characters with terrible voice acting lol. Makes watching cutscenes a chore.
