Soft lock because I refused to burn the weighted companion cube?

So, in protest, I chose to not throw the weighted companion cube into the incinerator. I instead chose to fling myself down the incinerator. (Is life even worth living without my companion cube?)

Anyway, upon loading back in, I have succeeded in saving the life of my weighted companion cube. He is now stuck inside the teleporter on the right, and I cannot retrieve him, or spawn a different one.

I'm sort of considering this a win condition, as I have made my weighted companion cube immortal and he and I can just sit in this room for all eternity, but, just so I can see "other" endings, any ideas on how I might be able to do that?

FYI, I was able to load an earlier autosave to get around this in case anyone else gets stuck
