Help with level - The Climb

So im in The Climb chapter, and ive gotten to that massive chamber loading dock (where she says 'if this is a test chamber than our budget is worse than i thought') where you have to use the spilling white goo to go up. And there is a railing across from me that leads to i think an elevator but i cant find a way over to it because there is no way for me to get the goo over there

I struggles with this one, but I solved it eventually. you just need to get goo absolutely EVERYWHERE and then get as high as you can. then you need to place a portal all the way on the ground from up high, then jump into it and launch yourself up, if that makes sense. you will have to go straight up, and then just hold forward to make the gap.

I covered the top platform with white goo. But then I switched back the "source" of the white goo to the one from the start. Here the goo flies out of the portal at an angle, which you can use to cover the wall above the railing on the other side
