What does Inserting CD do?

There's a computer that asks for a CD, and I've found the CD and entered it.
But the screen still says "insert CD". Pressing "Use" on it does nothing.

Is there else I have to do?

To add to that, I walked away from it after waiting for something to happen for a good while, but went back to check on it before going so far that it was sealed off and the screen was black. Might just be a weirdly long wait before some easter egg happens. I'll mess with it again after I finish the game.

I've tried looking around the office for any obvious changes, and unfortunately I can't find any change. Got any hints?

Worth noting is that I notice "( °□°) ︵"'s observation too - when walking away and walking back, the screen turns pitch black. Not sure why.

It opens a sliding office door that is closed when you first arrive.

It’s a reference to the mod “Portal: Unity”. One of our playtesters, iirc, was the lead dev on Unity. Hence why it was added.
