Wrong ingame Resolution breaks Win 11 Desktop resolution
The game is sometimes starting with the wrong resolution and can't be set to the nativ resolution. Closing the game or tapping to desktop is breaking the windows resolution aswell.

I've just installed this game and I can only see the top LH corner of the start screen, so I can't access any options, including the display options. Certainly can't start a game. My PC specs far exceed that which is required for this game. I've tried checking file integrity and re-installing, but this problem remains. Solutions, anyone?

Same problem here. Game worked fine yesterday, game updated itself today and then started with a resolution of 640*480 oO. Went to settings and the display mode and aspect ratio were wrong for some reason, changing those back fixed it for me (at least for now).

Had the same problem with, go to <portal revolution install directory>/revolution/cfg then with your favourite text editor edit the video.txt file. Change the parameter "setting.defaultres" to 1920 ans "settings.defaultresheight" to 1080 (or whatever is your screen resolution).

I've just checked my video.txt file and those settings are 3840x2160 as they should be but the game runs 640x480 and is unplayable. Been running fine before yesterdays update. Running on Linux here.

The game defaulted to 3840x2160. I could set it back to 2560x1440 in the game's menu. I'm on Windows 7.

Just solved the starting display problem by going to the STEAM game launch parameters in Properties. Just added this single line -w 1920 which works for my 1920 x 1080 native display. Great! Got to Chamber 9 today.

I'm still getting the blurred graphics on the right hand side and bottom of the screen after fixing aspect ratio and resolution. Very annoying. Anyone know the exact proper settings for the steam deck?

For me it started at 720p or something like that and i switched it to 3440 x 1440 but resulted in just being able to se a fraction of the screen. alt + F4 was not working to close the game.
I opened the task manager with alt + ctrl + del on my 2nd screen and cloed the game from there. then when i started it it was on right resolution...

So what are the steps to fix this? Where you do you change this stuff?

I didn't edit any files, just loaded the game and changed the aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9 , then chose my native resolution, it still didnt look right but then exited game / reloaded and now its working correctly.

The game was working fine - then a recent update has caused the same issue. The resolution is correct but being shown in a box the size of a 640x480 area on the screen. Please fix

Just wanted to confirm that the fix is as simple as resetting your resolution in video options. No need to edit any files. The resolution drop down is very specific (or it was for me) and closely tied to aspect ratio.

If you set it to fullscreen borderless it should only be able to run at native resolution.
