Great On deck? NO KIDDING!!
This game runs at smooth 60 FPS on medium settings at 1280x800 on steam deck... on battery power.

What kind of sorcery is at work here? Easily the best looking game on steam deck to have such good performance. Incredible!

I agree on average gaming PC; the RE engine seems to be pretty solid.

Everything on ultra, except for shadow, effects and volumetric light at high, FXAA+TAA, HBAO+ with latest proton GE (7-31) running at 60fps flat , on the Steam Deck

The game runs great on my pc too. Might be the first newer game that I own that I can run max settings and 1440p@144fps. Games tend to run great on my 1440p screen, but this might be the first to also reach the hz limit on my monitor consistently. Usually I get around 60-90 fps on more modern games.

Steam Deck is incredibly good for its size and price, to be honest. I've been replaying NieR:Automata on it, and that game also runs at an almost constantly locked 60FPS. Even Cyberpunk runs with a locked 30 on battery power.

Capcom has been pretty good about PC releases ever since Xbox360/PS3 gen. All their MT Framework games run really well (DMC4, Lost Planet etc) and for the most part RE games do too.
RE8/ Village seems to be an exception, it runs like crap on my machine despite the fact I can run RE7 and DMCV no problem
