How Dante's squares and other weapons should be used
I love the series and the game but playing as Dante is a real headache, it has so many weapons that it stops you losing, and I wanted you to advise me how to better use the squares where I can change weapons or remove it, I love Dmc but if I continue to use Dante I will get so angry that I will stop playing it

If I understand you're looking for loadout advice for Dante? (not sure why you say squares AND other weapons, when it sounds like the "squares" are the slots for weapons, so maybe misunderstanding)

If so, quick rundown on the notable upsides of each option

Rebelion v Sparda v DSD:
Sparda does more damage on about 1/3rd of the moveset. Has more range on some moves too. Its a strict upgrade to Rebelion and also better than DSD doing the same moves. However, annoyingly, you need DSD to use the floating swords, making DSD better. DSD also doesn't need to switch to sword master to do the air-combo.
You can take or leave the swords really, the best part of them is DSD's buff to DT.

Balrog:
Can do good jump-canceled air combos like the swords. Has very high burst damage via real impact/the other uppercut. Spamming jumping swordmaster with the fist a few times hard-stuns any basic enemy in the game fairly rapidly, letting you walk up to them, hit 10 times and real impact for instant S or SS rank. Generally strong moveset. You probably want to keep this.

Cavaliere:
Good damage but slow. Super-armor, but you still take damage. The best move is DLC. Literal pay to win weapon.
Take or leave this one too. The best thing it offers is the ability to walk into a crowd and quickly stunlock and kill them for high rank with no effort, but other weapons can do this safer.

King Cerb:
Very high damage with DT Hot Stuff, which is relatively fast for how damaging it is and has no gimmicks holding it back. DT percussion is a hard-stun in 1 to 2 uses in a giant AoE. Can make you invincible. Has massive aoe. Builds style very quickly.
You probably want to keep this.

So if I wasn't to take all weapons, I'd take slot 1 cerb (for the hard stun), slot 2 balrog (to follow it up with real impact) and SDT (you have to for full power DT)

guns

Guns are much simpler

Ebony and ivory are meh, skip them
Shotgun is meh, skip it
Double kalina giant laser is S-SSS rank instantly depending on enemy count and generally just does stupidly high damage at no risk that either pierces crowds or homes.
The hat: its broken

Just take the hat and hold fire and you'll win every fight in the game or take Kalina for some variety

Equip every single weapon to your loadout (except the single kallina anns once you unlock the dual ones). After that, git gud. Just play and you'll memorize all the moves in due time. Have fun, mate.

What this guy said. Otherwise intentionally play with only a few weapons at a time until they feel comfortable.
