Did you watch the anime made by Netflix? I think it was a cliche but it was good. It was a bit sad because I liked Vergili more than Dante, it seemed a little bit too short.I hope the second season comes out and we get to watch Vergil vs Dante.

the rabbit was also a character that appeared in the manga and i liked him more there

They've already said that each season is going to go for its own style and tone.

So if they do want to eventually get to Vergil VS Dante then it will probably be a whole season building up to it.

if they take the inspiration from the games he propably faces him in the first episode and looses hard and then build up to him beating vergil at the end of the season , IF they go for it but we have to wait

But I prefer this over the 2006/2007 anime (that barely had any story and Dante was a babysitter in that which wasn't that fun for me)

The Netflix show is so bad that I would rather play thousands of hours of DMC 2 than watch that again. It was a Lady show full of political stuff that only americans care about... It's not Anime, unless you consider TV shows like Invincible or Justice League as Anime.
