Its best description is "This is what a DMC reboot should look like". Its still very clearly DMC, but its also not just a copy and paste of the same plot or structure.
Compared to that other attempt. Show's good, but anyone expecting strict adherence to canon will be caught off guard pretty quickly.
A small example is having Lady be more of a special agent police chief, thats an expert at demon hunting. If you can handle some remixes like that, then you'll like it. If youre the type to be appalled by a character getting a different position, then yeah, you wont like it.
