The netflix show is bad and if you like it you're a fake fan

just as the title says, i don't want any awards this is not a farm post if you think the show was good you're braindead or a fake fan who doesn't understand the characters and the themes of the games. I will not debate people over this if you're angry at this it's because i'm right. The anime took 3 years to make 8 miserable episodes with a plot most slop isekai come up with and excecute in 3 months.

i especially hate people that were hyped because vergil said "i am that storm" that's blatant fanservice for "fans" that only played dmc5 and only did so because of vergil.

There's no such thing as a "fake fan", if you like Devil May Cry in any capacity, you are a fan. People have different tastes, and that's fine. Game sales have gone up as well, so clearly there's more interest in the series as well.

I didn't like the show, but I'm not gonna treat people that do enjoy it like garbage.

The definition that you can look up on google is "a person who has a strong interest in or admiration for a particular person or thing." just liking the games isn't enough to be a fan you have to REALLY like it.

I like it because people who weren't familiar with the series took interest in playing the actual games after watching it. Which is really all it needed to do, who the hell was expecting peak fiction from a netflix adaptation? The most enjoyable part of DMC is fighting and killing demons not the story. Pointless gatekeeping.
