Why is Son of Sparda and Dante Must Die not unlocked on your first playthrough?

Honestly one of the reasons why people call this game easy is because the hard difficulties are not unlocked on your first playthrough. As we all know people barely finish games so to think that they'd replay a game just to experience a higher difficulty is impossible.

Thankfully there's an exploit where you can beat Urizen in the prologue. I beat him twice so now I'm gonna start my first playthrough on Dante Must Die

Imo is not that DMC5 is easy, but it's def easier than the previous games (excluding dmc2)

But that's part of the appeal though, to mwster the game in normal anx get the skills, and then replay them over and over

Good for you if you want to do that. Others want the hardest experience on their first playthrough though. This is just poor game design

I saw a guy who broke Urizen in the prologue with a trainer.
He tried to finish mission 1 on DMD for 4 hours.
And another 6 hours on mission 2.
And I never saw him again.

Maybe that's the reason.

Player skill is much more important for DMC.

Because people don't expect DMD to be so hard like other games, the developers intended for players to basically have everything unlocked and upgraded to be able to experience dmd normally, if you don't even have a single upgrade or bigger health the enemies will become almost impossible to kill with their dt and you'll die in one hit, not to mention the biggest handicap being not having dt. If you're a hardcore fan or something you don't have to act like a snob to understand how hard dmd is especially for gamers not used to dmc.

Yeah I bought this for my xbox since I mostly only play multiplayer games on my PC. Games like these are played on the couch

Not a hardcore fan, this is actually my first dmc lol. Also so far its pretty easy the only annoying thing is the bosses are tanky af

You don’t need a trainer to beat Urizen lol. I beat him on xbox twice to unlock dmd.

Also it’s fairly easy ngl. Once you know how how to do exceed every swing their hps go down fairly quickly
