Considering that RE has its own remakes, maybe they will follow in their footsteps someday; DMC3 still holds up very well, so I think there will be a new game sooner than any remakes, if there will be any.

Nah bro, out of all DMC games that deserves a remake, i think DMC 2 fits that category. I would kill for a remake of DMC 2 with today's graphics and gameplay (and story too).
