Which character is the easiest to play?
DMC5 is actually my first hack n' slash game (like not actually the first, but u got what i mean, like PURE hack n slash) so far i only played Nero, V and Dante. I Like Nero the best and Dante is cool too but it's hard to play as him i mean, there is so many styles and it's kinda confusing how to properly use them. (i think i'll play DMC 1-4 too):steamhappy:

For me, Vergil is the easiest to master~ with him it's like taking a stroll through a meadow on DMD or H&H difficulty. Dante is honestly the hardest to master, especially if you haven't played other parts of the game. If I remember correctly, Dante's fighting style is similar in DMC4, but once you master Dante's full potential, you won't have any problem with him. The same goes for Nero, however some people say that he is the most difficult character, because of the Devil Breakers, but it's all a matter of preference. V is a bit complicated due to the fact that his animals like to approach the enemy on their own and get hit.
Although all characters are powerful, but due to the preferred play style and character mastery, for some people one will be better and the other one will be weaker.

To be honest, I have never played it, because of what developers did with the characters and the story, but the opinion of others is that the gameplay is good and the maps are interesting. Also many people say that the game is less demanding than the original DMC, when it comes to players' skills and game mechanics, but I can't judge it myself.

there are only 4 styles with Dante. In Devil May Cry 3, Dante has 6 styles. In Devil May Cry 1 and 2 there are not styles.
Easiest to play is Vergil. Straight up. I've seen many people get confused with character specific abilities like Breakers, Grappling, Style button, and even just landing on the ground with Nero and other characters. But you dont even need to know how to ground yourself with Vergil.

DmC has the dreaded colour coded enemies as well as a heal of more issues which were fixed in mods as well as the definitive edition. Sadly, the mods are dead I believe and said definitive edition never came to PC. If you can play DmC DE on console, do so, I hear its a good game but the story and tone is still bad for fans of the series.

As for the topic, I'd say in terms of ease it would go Vergil, V, Nero and Dante. Vergil is pretty straight forward but has some tight timings and tricks but due to his powerful moves and damage he is definitely the easiest character. Don't play him first though, his mode is still the normal game so it will spoil a bunch of things. Unless you don't care at all for story and characters.
